Differences between Machine Learning and AI

The terms machine learning and artificial intelligence have been appearing on websites more frequently during the past years. Both concepts may seem synonyms, but they are different. Machine Learning

Large databases and mathematical algorithms allow the development of the AI in machines.

It evolves in relation to the scientific study of how the human brain works. Therefore, as we began to know more and more about this aspect, we also develop the processes that a machine needs to be able to act and think as a person.

Technologies able to do specific tasks that humans can do, also use Artificial Intelligence. We can find this capacity in face recognition on applications as Facebook or Snapchat. Those applications can recognize our face perfectly thanks to the capacity that AI has on machines.

On the one hand, AI influences and acts on the tasks and actions that a device can perform. On the other hand, ML appears on the predictions of future mistakes. That is because it is able to understand, predict, estimate and classify things. When we need to act upon those classifications, AI takes places, which indicates that artificial intelligence needs machine learning to operate.
